Singer-songwriter with her own signature
In June 2026, the American singer-songwriter and violinist will perform for two dates in Germany. Shires has been active as a solo artist since the early 2000s. She previously played in the band The Highwomen with Brandi Carlile, Maren Morris and Natalie Hemby, was a member of Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit, and performed in a duo with Rod Picott.
She combines folk, Americana and country elements to create an independent style that deals with personal themes such as loss, self-discovery and everyday reflection. Her songs are characterized by precise arrangements and the use of her violin, which often acts as the central instrument.
Her current album “Nobody’s Girl” was released in September 2025 and was recorded with producer Lawrence Rothman. She previously released eight solo albums, each showcasing different facets of her style – from minimalist folk production to more electronic sounds.
