Around 11.45 a gas leak was created in a house on Tuinstraat in the crawl space, so that the gas has spread under several houses. “And you don’t just open a door there,” explains a spokesperson for network manager Liander.
Confusion about NL-Alert
A team of Liander technicians is digging busy around 2 p.m. looking for the gas leak. But by that time without success. The local residents catch each other and drink a cup of coffee. There is mainly confusion about the NL-Alert that would have gone out. “The one does receive him and the other does not,” a neighbor notes.
Moments later, the confusion is complete when a neighbor comes out of her house in the deposited area. She had had one NL-Alert, but was still sleeping after a night shift. She read in the alert that she had to keep windows and doors closed, so decided to sleep quietly.
