Alice Phoebe Lou is originally from Cape Town and now lives in Berlin, where she was discovered as a street musician. In 2021 she had released two albums. Her third studio album GLOW was released in March, followed in December by the surprise album GOD’S PLAY, which she announced on social media just hours before the release. Now the still untitled successor is in the starting blocks. On March 10, 2023, the first single from it, “Shelter”, is to be released. Alice Phoebe Lou has also announced new tour dates in this context – presented by MUSIKEXPRESS.

In April 2022, Alice Phoebe Lou played a benefit concert in aid of “SOS Children’s Villages Worldwide” and the aid organization “Leave No One Behind” in Berlin. Her debut album ORBIT was released in 2016, the follow-up PAPER CASTLES in March 2019. ME author Julia Friese wrote about itit sounds “like swimming naked blindfolded at night – as a protest. Because Lou’s songs rebel against abuse (“Skin Crawl”, “Something Holy”), use some natural metaphors (the moon in “My Outside”, the stars in “My Spark”) and culminating in most reassuring music box-like (“Ocean”). At times, Lou’s galaxy of unyielding femininity is reminiscent of Joni Mitchell’s SONG TO A SEAGULL phase. Other times you want a hit you have to bow to.”
