The Austrian shoe retail association ANWR Garant Austria GmbH has appointed Alfred Pußwald as dealer consultant and supplier manager.
In this role, the 56-year-old industry expert has been responsible for the goods and consulting areas since the beginning of the year and acts “as an interface between the ANWR headquarters in Grödig and the affiliated member companies and contract suppliers,” the company announced on Monday.
According to ANWR, Pußwald has 25 years of experience in the shoe retail sector. In addition to positions at well-known retailers such as Wortmann, Lidl and Schuhekönig, he has also worked in the group. Pußwald was “product manager for the ANWR-Schuh own-brand collection from 2000 to 2002 and managing director of the ANWR franchise concept Quick Schuh from 2012 to 2016,” according to a statement.
Andreas Mayer, the managing director of ANWR Garant Austria GmbH, paid tribute to the returnee. “We are pleased to have Alfred Pußwald, not only a real industry expert and shoe professional on our team in the future, but also someone who knows the ANWR, the requirements of the group and the Austrian specialist retail industry very well. This means real added value for our members,” he explained in a statement.
