Alexandru Maxim, rented by Beşiktaş from Gaziantep FK, answered the questions of the press. The Romanian star said he wanted to continue his career in Beşiktaş and shared his views on the Fenerbahçe derby.

I was always focused on the field, transfers were not my thing. Other clubs wanted, but I preferred Beşiktaş. Being here is a great opportunity and a source of pride for me. I aim to contribute to the team by doing my best.
“I WANT TO CONTINUE IN BEŞİKTAŞ”
Of course I would like to continue in Beşiktaş, I would be very happy to stay here. At the moment, I am focused on the derby that will be played next week and how I will finish the season. We will look at the transfer situation at the end of the season.
I’m not in a rush for the starting 11, I’m patient. I’m trying to do my best. The decision is our teacher. No matter how long it is 3 minutes or 5 minutes, my goal is always to contribute to the team and help get 3 points.
“TURKEY IS A DIFFERENT LEAGUE”
I played in Spain, Romania and Germany. Turkey is a different league. It’s good to be here. I see my future here. I will continue to work in the same way. I would like to play in Turkey for a few more years. My goal is to show the same performance wherever I play. Always contributing to the team as goals or assists. As Beşiktaş, we are a team that always aims for the championship and Europe. My aim is to achieve these goals.

I hope my teammates will come back from the national teams safely. I know Fenerbahçe’s stadium, but the derby will be a different atmosphere. I hope we get 3 points. Our fans support us wildly in every match, we want to win for them. Again, I want to stay here. I am focused on the present, not the future. If Beşiktaş wants me to stay, I would love to stay here. The only thing I focus on right now is the Fenerbahçe derby.
