Ekaterina Alexandrova won the final of the Seoul tournament against the Latvian Jelena Ostapenko 7-6(4) and 6-0 in 1 hour and 25 minutes of play to reach the third title of his career.
Alexandrova, who had won the titles in Shenzhen in 2020 and Hertogenbosch in June this year, had to win ‘two finals’. The first in the opening set, with both players breaking the rival’s serve up to three times, which led to a tie break.
And the second much more placid, with a donut to Ostapenko in just 24 minutes and only two points from the Latvian player in the last four games.
