Alexandre Lacazette shoots Arsenal to last-minute Wolves win

Arsenal FC celebrated an important victory in the race for the Champions League places in the Premier League thanks to a goal in the last minute.

The Gunners defeated Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 (0-1) in the catch-up game on Thursday evening. Frenchman Alexandre Lacazette scored from a tight angle in the 95th minute for much-celebrated success.

Previously, former Leipzig player Hwang Hee-Chan scored the opening goal for the guests in the tenth minute. Nicolas Pépé equalized (82′). In the closing stages, both teams had further great chances. Pedro Neto just missed for Wolves, Arsenal’s Martin Odegaard failed at the crossbar. Then Lacazette scored the decisive goal.

With 45 points, the Londoners are in fifth place, just one point behind Ralf Rangnick’s Manchester United and fourth. Goalkeeper Bernd Leno was again only on the bench for team manager Mikel Arteta’s team.
