The Düsseldorf department store group Galeria has appointed Alexander Repp, a new head of sales for the southern region.
Repp will take on his new role as Regional Sales Director South effective January 1, 2026, Galeria announced on Linkedin on Friday. The manager announced his departure from Globus on the career network on Thursday.
According to his own statements, he has worked as Sales Director at the Swiss luxury retailer for the past three years. Before that, he worked for the luxury store operator KaDeWe Group as Managing Director for almost eight years and as General Manager for the fashion retailer Breuninger for more than five years.
“As I prepare to leave the company at the end of the year and close the chapter as Sales Director at Globus in Switzerland – looking back on ten years in Central Europe – I would like to express my sincere thanks to everyone who has been part of this journey,” Repp writes in the post. “Working in Switzerland has been a privilege – a culture defined by precision, reliability and an incredible sense of respect. But above all, it is the people who make the real difference.”
Predecessor goes to Bucherer
At Galeria he succeeds Felix Burgmeier, who only took on this role six months ago and, according to his own information on Linkedin, has been working as Sales Director for the Swiss watch and jewelry specialist Bucherer AG since December.
Before his short stint at Galeria, he was self-employed as an interim manager. Previously, he gained experience at the Gant brand, most recently as Retail Director Central Europe, and at the Düsseldorf fashion retailer Peek & Cloppenburg, most recently as Country Manager.
