The Panthers’ Finnish captain experienced a tasty surprise.

The season is still in progress but Alexander Barkov29, has already received the first personal prizes.
On Monday, the Florida Panthers’ Finnish captain was declared the winner of the prestigious Frank J. Selink in the season 2024-25. This is the best defensive striker’s prize, which Barkov has now won for the third time.
Barkov’s challengers were a teammate Sam Reinhart and Tampa Bay Lightning Anthony Cirellibut the winner eventually settled with a clear difference. Barkov got 96 number one in the vote, while Reinhart and Cirelli had to settle for 29.
The Finn was also rewarded with the King Clancy Memorial trophy, given to a player who has performed leadership and worked for the community.
