Buy Without Looking face Alex van Keulen was a guest in RTL Boulevard every evening this week for a charity event, but yesterday he was not present. “Burglary and Operation!”
The Luuk Ikink show RTL Boulevard has a theme week every year in which the viewer is called on in various items to donate money to a charity that helps poor people. Buy Without Looking face Alex van Keulen introduces those long-winded items because he grew up in poverty. However, he was not at the week-end closing yesterday.
Alex isn’t there
Alex is not doing well, Luuk reports in the show section on RTL 4. “Actually, Alex should have been here on this last day. He is not there, because he is in the hospital. Quite annoying. He had to undergo emergency surgery on his jaw. He is doing well, fortunately, but that was the reason he could not be here.”
“It is certainly a very unpleasant week for him, because he also told us today that his house on the Costa Blanca has been trashed. It has been broken into and quite a few things have been taken away.”
Alarm system
What does Alex himself say about it? He said in a response: “Unfortunately, there are also a lot of burglaries in Spain. Due to the ongoing renovation, we did not yet have a new alarm system. Perpetrators seem to have known this, as well as the fact that our dogs are everyone’s friends.”
Luuk: “A lot is gone, but fortunately not everything is gone, because they really targeted the jewelry that was there. That is incredibly annoying of course. It had emotional value.”
Unlucky week
Bridget Maasland feels very sorry for Alex. “And then you’re also in the hospital. A bit of an unlucky week!”
Luuk: “Yes, but he does say: ‘Just continue with that campaign’, because that is why he stayed here in the Netherlands.”
