Alex Ferguson returned to Manchester United

Coached Manchester United to no less than 13 English championships and two Champions League victories Alex Ferguson makes a return to the big club in a new role.

British Daily Mail reported on Friday that 80-year-old Ferguson will join the club’s new think tank, which will also include the club’s former CEO David Gillformer ManU captain Bryan Robson and the club’s current director of football John Murtough.

The think tank was founded by the club’s current CEO Richard Arnold. The group’s main task is to help Arnold in his decisions.

According to the Daily Mail, the group will at least consider the development of the legendary home ground Old Trafford and the training center, as well as the club’s relationship with the fans.

The Scotsman Ferguson served as ManU’s head coach for no less than 27 years. He retired in 2013.

In his retirement, Ferguson has mostly played a symbolic role in ManU’s background.

Ferguson had a cerebral hemorrhage more than four years ago, but he survived. However, he is unable to work full-time as a result of an illness.

United have not won a single Premier League title since Ferguson retired.
