Alec Baldwin: Confrontation with anti-Israel demonstrators

The demonstrators shouted at the actor in New York that he should “shut the fuck up.”

In view of the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas and the rising death toll, there are repeated protests around the world. This is currently the case again in New York. Actor Alec Baldwin got into a heated discussion with protesters on Monday (December 18) as hundreds of anti-Israel demonstrators took to the streets there to express their displeasure over Israel’s military actions in the Gaza Strip. Baldwin, who did not actually want to be part of the protest march, was insulted by the demonstrators who accused him of supporting Israel.

“I support peace in the Gaza Strip”

Alec Baldwin, who was on his way to volunteer for an acting class, was aggressively accosted by protesters. The police eventually had to escort him after he inadvertently entered into an exchange with the local people. When asked by a protester whether he condemned Israel, the US actor replied: “No, I support peace in the Gaza Strip,” which led to further confrontations, as the New York Post reported on the situation.

One participant in the march is said to have shouted at him: “Shut the fuck up, you have no shame at all,” while another criticized Baldwin’s career and stated: “By the way, your career is going down the drain” – which may have been an innuendo was related to the accident on the “Rust” set. A source close to Baldwin told the New York Post that the mime had no intention of taking part in the street protest in New York. He would simply have been on his way to volunteer.

Despite the chaos, Baldwin ultimately managed, with the help of the police, to get out of the situation and arrive safely at his destination.
