Aldo Group takes over shoe license for Ted Baker

New York-based Authentic Brands Group, which acquired London-based brand Ted Baker in 2021, has entered into a long-term licensing agreement with Aldo Group for the production and distribution of Ted Baker shoes, handbags and small leather goods.

Under the terms of the agreement, Aldo Group will design, manufacture and distribute Ted Baker footwear and handbags wholesale in the United States and Canada, as well as design, manufacture and distribute Ted Baker footwear through Ted Baker’s direct channels, including the web shop and Ted Baker stores worldwide.

The start of the strategic partnership is the spring collection 2024.

Founded in 1972, the Aldo Group from Canada has specialized in the shoe and accessories market and has more than 1,500 sales outlets in over 100 countries and also operates in the wholesale and direct sales of shoes and accessories.

In addition to Ted Baker, Authentic Brands includes well-known brands such as Reebok, Barneys New York, Hervé Léger, Frye, Nautica, Juicy Couture, Lucky Brand, Aéropostale, Forever 21, Nine West, Eddie Bauer, Spyder, Volcom and Tretorn. The company’s brands most recently generated global retail sales of around $29 billion.
