Renate Den Hollander, alderman of the municipality of Westerveld, has been nominated as a candidate for the parliamentary elections. She is in place 18 on the draft list of the VVD and is therefore the highest new entry from Drenthe.
In Westerveld, Den Hollander had spatial development, sustainable energy and economy in its portfolio. In addition, she is a third loco mayor in the municipality.
There is a good chance that the politician will take place in the Lower House, in recent polls the VVD seems to be heading for around twenty seats. In that case, the municipality of Westerveld should look for a new alderman.
Den Hollander says he feel honored with the lecture. “It will be waiting for me to be elected and which portfolio I get. But in The Hague you make the best of it together,” says Den Hollander. “I see it as a new challenge and just keep coming back to Drenthe in the weekends.”
