4th set, 2:6, 6:2, 6:3, 2:2 – Alcaraz wants too much. From his point of view, he wants to end a long rally with a stop at 0:30 – but gets stuck in the net. He also made a mistake in the next rally and Djoković scored zero. So that’s still possible from his point of view.

4th set, 2:6, 6:2, 6:3, 2:1 – This is much easier with the Alcaraz serve. The Spaniard carries out his next service confidently.

4th set, 2:6, 6:2, 6:3, 1:1 – This service game lasted over twelve minutes – and what a fight this is from Djoković, who feels like he’s already on the ropes but simply won’t give up. It’s a rollercoaster ride from the Serb: he distributes the balls well, lets Alcaraz run – and then puts the one free shot he has out of bounds. Then even a “simple” two-handed backhand is too long. He still fends off Alcaraz’s break chance, forces a tie – and then makes another backhand mistake. This is too much in quantity and has built up over this match. And then Alcaraz shows again what makes the big difference: he picks up the pace twice with a forehand hammer, then finishes with a stop – Djoković seems overwhelmed. But he doesn’t give up: it’s a tie again several times, the Serb fends off break chance after break chance – before he forces a mistake from Alcaraz and still gets his service through. The Spaniard’s six (!) break chances were unsuccessful.

4th set, 2:6, 6:2, 6:3, 1:0 – Alcaraz starts the fourth set with a confident serve game.
