Albert Verlinde confirms that his colleague Beau van Erven Dorens is pissed about Renze Klamer’s kick. “I know Beau a little, he is a principled man. This went down the wrong way.”
The lack of a familiar talk show table is seen by critics as one of the main reasons why RTL Tonight failed. On the day that show was canceled, last Sunday, Renze Klamer — who soon left the sinking ship — casually shouted on his social media that he was going to buy a regular table somewhere.
Albert confirms
Beau van Erven Dorens thought it was so antisocial and uncollegial that he immediately cut off a question about Renze on live television. According to media watchers, it is crystal clear that Renze is hated by Beau and Humberto Tan.
Is that correct? Albert Verlinde sits close to the fire and should know. He agrees Show news: “Look, Renze… I think he just thought: I want to be nice and react to the fact that I’m coming back, so he must have meant well, but if an entire team has just heard that their job is ending, then it’s not the most appropriate moment.”
Principled man
Beau is indeed pissed off at Renze, according to Albert. “I know Beau a little bit, he’s a principled man, and I think that just went a bit the wrong way.”
However, according to him, we should not make this bigger than it is to prevent further damage. “I think we all have to say now: we have to get to the end on June 12 and Renze has to start cheerfully in the autumn, so please let us all put our shoulders to the wheel in a positive way.”
Conversation with Peter
How did the conversation go between Albert and his new boss Peter Lubbers? “I had coffee with Peter Lubbers, but I’m not going to say anything more about that. It was a very good cup of coffee and we both said that we will talk further in the near future.”
Will he work for Boulevard? “All options are open. I’ll just start the conversation and we’ll see what happens.”
Spice
It seems that Albert will be working at the desk with his TV child Boulevard a few times a week. “I honestly don’t know. I’m quite honest, you know me, and otherwise I would say it. Everything is open, nothing has been set in stone yet, we’re just going to talk.”
Story boss Guido den Aantrekker would encourage it. “Boulevard could use some spice.”
Show news too, of course. Time for Albert’s rioting niece?
