Al-Jazira Abu Dhabi have introduced Frank de Boer as their new coach. The Dutchman has been without a club since leaving the Netherlands in June 2021. The 53-year-old previously worked as head coach for Atlanta United FC, Crystal Palace, Inter Milan and Ajax Amsterdam. The club from the UAE Pro League did not provide any information on the length of the contract.

De Boer succeeds his compatriot Marcel Keizer, who has been on the sidelines since October 2019. A reunion there with midfielder Thulani Serero, who de Boer worked with at Ajax.
