Aku Sipola shared his thoughts about Vesa-Matti Loir’s acting.
At Punttikomedia’s invited guests evening, numerous well-known Finns, such as actor Aku Sipola, walked the red carpet.
He came to the premiere willingly, because he wanted to see how Punttikomedia was directed Aleksi Delikouras accomplished directing his first film.
– We just made the Spede movie with Aleksi, so it will be interesting to see what kind of impact he makes, Sipola jokes.
Pertti “Spede” from Pasase and the filming of the film about the Finnish entertainment empire he created ended just a week ago, so the filming is still fresh in my mind. Sipola plays the late artist in the film Vesa-Matti Loiria. The title role is played by Pasasena Riku Nieminen.

Loir’s death in August 2022 had a great impact on Finns, and the beloved entertainer’s eulogy and funeral were followed closely. It also put Sipola in a new kind of situation.
– It’s a very big question to answer, how did it feel to play Loir. I’ll answer briefly by saying that it felt wild to step into such big boots. In the end, so as not to drown in them, I decided to keep my own boots. So I did my job with great respect for him.
In addition to Nieminen and Sipola, we will be seen in other significant roles Mikko Töyssy (Simo Salminen), Joonas Nordman (Ere Kokkonen), Helmi-Leena Nummela (Marjatta Raita) and Minka Kuustonen (Pirjo Pasanen). The film takes place in the late 1960s and early 70s, and it shows the birth story of the character Uuno Turhapuro.
The film will premiere in autumn 2023.
