PSV were crowned national champions for the third time in a row last month. PEC Zwolle then formed a guard of honor as an opponent in Eindhoven. Ajax will also do that on Saturday in its own Johan Cruijff Arena.
For the experienced Spanish interim coach Garcia, this is only normal, despite the rivalry between the two clubs. “For me, that is the respect that the champion deserves. It was not exciting either. They became champions by a big margin.”
Garcia still does not have access to Davy Klaassen against PSV. The trainer expects that the captain can make his return next week against FC Utrecht. Owen Wijndal is also missing in the top match against PSV. Kian Fitz-Jim has been injured for some time.
