Daniele Rugani solved his problem in an unconventional way. When the Italian of Ajax Amsterdam suffered a laceration at Eintracht Frankfurt at the round of 16 second leg in the Europa League, the 30-year-old did not have his head connected. Instead, Rugani came back to the pitch with a dark bathing cap.
The defender had collided with his teammate Ahmetcan Kaplan on Thursday evening and had to be treated. Rugani played with the unusual headgear for more than 15 minutes, which at least matched the permanent drizzle in the Frankfurt EM Stadium.
In half -time, the medical department of Ajax was apparently able to treat the wound in such a way that Rugani was able to return on the lawn after changing without a bathing cap and without an association. After 90 minutes, Eintracht won 4: 1 and is in the quarter -finals of the Europa League.
