The team from Amsterdam did not start sharply in Sittard. Fortuna was awarded a penalty after a foul by Devyne Rensch on Tijjani Noslin. After the sloppy opening phase, Ajax increasingly came out of its shell. For example, Brian Brobbey, Benjamin Tahirovic and Hlynsson tried it a few times from a distance, although there was little real danger.
