Pasveer still had a contract in Amsterdam until the end of the season. Since the arrival of Vítězslav Jaros, Pasveer has mainly been a reserve goalkeeper at Ajax. He also had little prospect of playing minutes under interim coach Fred Grim.
The Ajax club management wanted to cooperate in an early termination of his contract. On Tuesday evening it was announced that Maarten Paes of FC Dallas is emphatically in the picture to become a reserve goalkeeper at Ajax.
In Almelo, Pasveer will have to start straight away. Heracles is in last place in the Premier League and has two points less than Telstar and three less than FC Volendam. It previously attracted former Ajax player Naci Ünüvar.
His debut was for FC Twente
Although he played by far the most matches for Heracles Almelo, Pasveer made his professional football debut for FC Twente in 2003. The native of Enschede moved to Heracles Almelo in 2006, where he played more than 150 matches until mid-2014. Via PSV and Vitesse, Pasveer ended up at Ajax in 2021.
In 2022, Pasveer made his debut in the Dutch national team and also went to the World Cup in Qatar as a reserve goalkeeper.
