Mohammed Ihattaren will return to Juventus in January. The Italians rented out the 20-year-old midfielder to Ajax last year. The club had an option to take over Ihattaren afterwards, but it is not being lifted.
During his loan period, Ihattaren played only one official game for the former. He came in on behalf of Jong Ajax five times.
Talent
Ihattaren comes from the PSV youth academy and has been known for years as a great talent. It remains to be seen whether he will ever redeem that talent. After making the switch to Juventus in the summer of 2021, the attacking midfielder barely played any games.
With a switch to Ajax, Ihattaren hoped to change that. In the first six months, he only played matches for Jong Ajax. After a successful training camp in De Lutteit seemed in the summer that he would join the first.
Threat
When the selection for the training camp in Austria was announced a little later, however, it turned out that Ihattaren had already fallen by the wayside. De Telegraaf wrote in August that threats from the criminal environment would be the cause. According to the newspaper, the threat would have arisen after Ihattaren started a relationship with a woman from his environment.
In the months that followed, it became quiet around Ihattaren. Until now, he is no longer part of the selection, both with the first and with Jong Ajax.
