Ajax footballer Ihattaren back on training field
Footballer Mohamed Ihattaren is back on the Ajax training field. The 20-year-old Utrechter has been missing from the team from Amsterdam in recent weeks, according to media reports because he had become a victim of threats. Ihattaren shared a photo of himself on Instagram on Monday with Ajax’s training field in the background, writing: “Back in business” (“Back from being away”).
Ihattaren was absent from Ajax for more than two weeks, officially because he would be “not fit”. However, De Telegraaf reported on Sunday evening that the Moroccan was absent due to threats from the criminal environment as a result of his relationship with a young woman. Security experts therefore did not consider it responsible to let him come to the club.
Ihattaren is currently following an individual training program to become fully fit again.
