According to circles, the aircraft manufacturer Airbus did not quite reach its annual delivery target despite a final spurt.

Almost 120 commercial aircraft were likely to have been delivered in December, the Bloomberg news agency reported on Thursday, citing people familiar with the figures. This would bring Airbus close to its annual target of 770 units in 2024 with around 760 deliveries. A spokesman for the company declined to comment. The start of the year was poor. Bottlenecks in the supply chain had slowed the company down for months.

Especially since the Corona pandemic, the manufacturer has had to deal with delivery problems from its suppliers. Recently, difficulties faced by the engine manufacturers have caused problems for Airbus. Company boss Guillaume Faury had already achieved his original goal of 800 deliveries in the summer. Airbus will publish its December figures next Thursday (January 9th).

The Airbus share was temporarily trading 0.99 percent lower at 158.62 euros in XETRA trading.
