In Europe, the skills of 15-year-olds are declining. Whether you test teenagers on math, science or reading comprehension, the scores have been declining for about ten years. This especially applies to the Netherlands. In 2003, Dutch students with reading skills were still among the very best readers in Europe, but now we are at the bottom. What the hell is going on here?
