The mill has been care for dry feet for four centuries. First for the grazing cows on the lands around Haarlem, now for the residents the residential areas built around the mill.
Molenaar Joyce Beneker already receives visitors every Sunday afternoon with other millers. And those are mainly neighbors who are in love with ‘their’ mill. But with many Haarlemmers the mill of the Schotveen is hardly known. While it has made an important contribution to the growth of the city.
