The Orlando Magic won their home game against the Portland Trail Blazers in the NBA thanks to a goal with the clock running out – also thanks to Franz Wagner.
The European champion gave the decisive pass to Desmond Bane, his teammate then scored to make it 115:112 and caused exuberant celebrations.
For the Magic it was the fifth win of the season in the eleventh game. With another win on Wednesday (local time) at the New York Knicks, the team would have a balanced record for the first time since the second matchday this season.
Wagner himself recorded 19 points and nine rebounds, the decisive final assist was his sixth of the game. Tristan da Silva, who became European champion with Wagner in the summer, had a mixed offensive evening and only hit one of his six throws for two points.
