Again two girls from the closed youth care institution Via Jeugd in Cadier en Keer are missing. It concerns an urgent disappearance, in which the police ask the public to watch Latisha Pfeiffer (15) and Shirly Bettink (14).

The girls were last seen around noon on July 18 on their way to or from school on the grounds of the Via Jeugd institution, also known as Het Keerpunt. According to the police, there are “worrying circumstances.” Police are not making any further statements about these circumstances. The police take into account that the girls may have gone together in the direction of Eindhoven.

A boy – Youri – has also been missing since one day. He also lives in the closed ward Icarus, which is part of Via Jeugd. This is evident from missing messages on social media. There is – for the time being – no reason to regard this as an urgent disappearance.

It is not the first time that minors have run away from this institution. In only a few cases does a missing person lead to a search message. In May and June, the police raised the alarm three times in a short time because the safety of the young people was in danger.
