Again there was an explosion last night at a house on the Nijkampenweg in Emmen. A letterbox was destroyed, the police reported.
The explosion happened last night around 3 p.m. Incidents took place at the house, the police say. On April 4 there was an explosion at the same house on Nijkampenweg. Less than 24 hours later, on April 5, there was a fire at the same house.
Nobody was injured in the explosion last night and nobody was arrested yet. The police are investigating further.
Last week the police already made a witness call for the explosion and arson at the beginning of April. Both are captured on camera, but the perpetrator is still lost. With the explosion you can see how a white van parking and drives away again after an orange flash. You can also see how a person walks a night later with a jerry can in his hand to the porch, after which a fire will form a short time later. The police describe the suspect as someone with a slim build. The suspected perpetrator wears a hood sweater, tight pants with dark belt and sneakers.
