Again a large fornication case has come to light. In the court in Den Bosch on Thursday, during a first introductory session, the 30-year-old Joey E. from Vlijmen is suspected of abusing dozens of young girls. He approached them and made nude images of them. With that he blackmailed them to perform ventilated actions again and again.
For the time being, E. is being charged with three girls in 2023 and 2024. The girls were 9, 11 and 13 years old at the time. The public prosecutor emphasized that this is really still a provisional indictment. The investigation is still in full swing, but according to the officer it concerns dozens of cases of abuse.
The suspect has been screaming for help for five years
Joey E. was vibrating like a straw opposite the judge. At the end of the short session he was allowed to tell his story. Usually sex offenders give little, but the 30-year-old Joey has just shouted for help, for five years.
“Sorry, this should never have happened,” Joey started his story. “I have been in trouble since I was fourteen. I wanted to be there for everyone and always said it went well, but that wasn’t.”
Joey cried hard during his story. He turned out to have been arrested before luring a 15-year-old girl in Haarsteeg, but was then released again. “I was free again because she had not entered. They let me erase the nude images on the desk and I was allowed to go home. But I just wanted help.”
Why Joey did not receive the help he did not receive was still unclear. “At one point I scolded the police in search of attention. I told me that I was sitting at the fire brigade in Vlijmen and that they had to fire me, but nothing happened.”

In October last year, E.’s house was searched and computers, telephones and hard drives were taken. To his surprise, Joey was not arrested. According to the officer, he immediately bought new equipment and continued to approach young girls online.
“Behind the screen you are a different person,” Joey said his double attitude. “It wasn’t always sexual. I also just had conversations. I didn’t spread the nude images I made. I used them to keep the girls with me. That they wanted to keep talking to me.”
A request to wait for the lawsuit at home was rejected. Joey has his own company and the debts are rising and he has to arrange everything. But the court believes that Joey cannot just free, because the chance of repetition is high.
So E. stays in the cell. In any case until the next interim session on July 1.
