The solitude of the title is that of the Taurus in the arena. That makes the end that you expect in a bullfight. And that the macabre dance of the Spanish director (not intimidated by the divisive subject) records frontally.
Instead, the Torero is surrounded by a court (the Peruvian Superstar Roca Rey), the life marked by a liturgy that begins with the dressing (the ephebic body enters the costume as a dancer in a sheath) and ends with the return to the hotel surrounded by exulting collaborators.

A separate universe, archaic, entirely male and with a predictable vocabulary (the comparison between the genitals of man and those of the beast).
After La Mort de Louis XIV And Pacificationanother reflection on narcissism and vanagloria. Who, reveals the director, would not have appreciated the bullfighter. Nobody amaze. Winner of the San Sebastián Festival.
