After Union Berlin farewell: IFK Göteborg presents Abdullahi

Return to Scandinavia

Suleiman Abdullahi has found a new employer after leaving Union Berlin on a free transfer. The 25-year-old center forward has signed a contract with the Swedish first division club IFK Göteborg until 2025. “IFK Göteborg is a big club that I want to help get back to the top,” said Abdullahi.

“We are bringing in a player with great potential who has shown before that he can impress in Scandinavian football,” said head coach Mikael Stahre. The Nigerian Abdullahi played for Viking FK in Norway between 2015 and 2016 before he moved to Germany to Eintracht Braunschweig and from there to Union Berlin. The offensive man scored four goals and four assists in 28 games for the “Iron”.
