It was quiet on the railway around Den Bosch for two weeks, but tomorrow the trains will run again. According to ProRail, all work is running according to plan.

The track between Den Bosch and Tilburg and between Den Bosch and Boxtel has been closed since October 4. This Sunday is the last day on which ProRail is still working. The first train will run again on Monday morning. In recent weeks, travelers have had to rely on the bus.

The reason for the work was the connection of a temporary track to the main track at Vught. This was necessary because there will be even more major work in the coming years. Thanks to the new, temporary track, the trains can continue to run during the work.

Last time for now
A ProRail spokesperson said on Sunday that all work is running according to schedule. “Everything will run again tomorrow.”

A reassurance: this was the last time for so long that train traffic was stopped for so long due to work. Only between 2029 and 2030 will travelers have to take into account several days without trains on this route. The temporary tracks will then be converted to the permanent tracks at Vught.
