Harry Winks is leaving his youth club Tottenham Hotspur for good at the age of 27. The defensive midfielder, who was on loan last season, joins Premier League relegated Leicester City. The ten-time England international has signed a three-year contract with the Foxes.
With his contract with the north Londoners originally set to run until 2024, Winks is set to pay a fee that is said to be set at €11.6m (£10m). Its market value is estimated at 10 million euros. The right-footed player will be the first signing for next season for Leicester, who have made seven departures after being relegated. Most of the money came from the sale of James Maddison to Wink’s old employer Tottenham for €46.3m.

After Winks: Wolves’ Coady also moves to Leicester City
Shortly after Winks, Leicester also announced the signing of Wolverhampton’s Conor Coady. The 30-year-old central defender also signed a contract until 2026 and, like Winks, Coady will also have to pay a fee. This is said to be €8.7m (£7.5m), which can be supplemented by a further €1.2m (£1m) in bonuses.
The ten-time England international said: “I’m absolutely delighted. I couldn’t wait to get down here to see everyone and sign and tackle everything. Now that I’m here, I’m really happy. To be honest, I’ve been very excited all summer and I really wanted to do it.”
