After the separation from Jan Siewert, Greuther Fürth relies on the coaching duo Thomas Kleine and Milorad Pekovic for the last two season games.
Thomas Kleine is supposed to protect the SpVgg Greuther Fürth from a possible descent. The former professional of the Franks signed a contract until the end of the season, as the club announced. “When the call came, I did not have to think about it. The cloverleaf was a significant part in my life,” said Kleine, who, as a captain with the 2012 game association, celebrated the first Bundesliga promotion of the association. Together with Milorad Pekovic, another promotion hero who had played for Fürther from 2010 to 2013, Kleine will form a duo.
Pekovic was last coach FK Decic Tuzi, first division club in Montenegro. “I have always followed the cloverleaf and I know a few more here in the club. Tommy and me will make it easy to get started,” said Pekovic. He wanted to “bring back a certain lightness again,” said the 47-year-old.
Explosive first game for little ones
Two games before the end of the season, the Franks separate three points from the relegation relegation place. His first game as a chief coach is equally explosive for little ones. Because on Sunday he competes with Fürth at Hannover 96, where until recently he had worked as an assistant coach of André Breitenreiter, who was left behind. In the final game of the season, a week later it goes at home against the promotion favorite Hamburger SV.
The SpVgg separated from Jan Siewert on Monday, who had only become the successor to interim coach Leonhard Haas in November. “We are all aware of the challenge, but we have it in our hands,” said the 47-year-old little one.
