After presenting his Management Report before the Chamber of Deputies—in the midst of the judicial cases investigating him for alleged illicit enrichment—, Manuel Adorni He thanked his colleagues for their massive support with a phrase that did not go unnoticed: “The best cabinet in the history of humanity”he wrote in X next to the photo that minutes before had shaken the networks.
The postcard was already agreed upon in advance, according to government sources. Before the briefing began, Javier Milei He led a caravan of ministers and officials that arrived at the Congress Palace after 10 in the morning. They were all received by the head of the Chamber, Martin Menemwho led them to his office, where Adorni was waiting. There they took the photo and recorded a video that Secretary of Communication and Media spread immediately, set to music with the theme of Rocky.
The turnout was described as an unprecedented event in Argentine legislative history: The presentations of the Chiefs of Staff had never brought together a delegation of such magnitude. They posed with Adorni, among others, Luis Caputo, Sandra Pettovello, Patricia Bullrich, Karina Milei, Diego Santilli, Federico Sturzenegger and Patricia Bullrich. “Team ready for the presentation of the Management Report. Viva La Libertad Carajo,” published the official account of La Libertad Avanza.
The scene, however, contrasts with the daily dynamics behind closed doors. Tensions between different wings of the Government are a constant that no photo manages to completely conceal: several of the officials who posed smiling in front of the cameras hold conflicting positions when they speak outside of the microphones. The display in Congress was, in that sense, both a message to the outside and an attempt at internal discipline.
The gesture aimed to clear up any doubts about official support at a time when internal ones within the Government are common currency and Adorni’s figure had been exposed by his legal cases. The Milei brothers, however, supported the Chief of Staff from the first moment. Adorni’s final tweet was the summary of a day designed to close ranks: “Thank you all. The best cabinet in the history of humanity. End.”
