“A family drama is based on a combination of events,” says relationship therapist-sexologist Bert Van Puyenbroeck, after a father drove into a canal with his two sons. “Breakups, financial worries, physical or mental problems are risk factors. There is always constriction of consciousness, powerlessness; one sees no other way out.” Is there nothing we can do to avoid such drama?
