6th Austrian in Ligue 1
Austria’s national goalkeeper Patrick Pentz (25) has been removed from the list of the unemployed after eight days and has joined Stade Reims, where he has signed until 2025. Before that, his contract with Austria Wien expired, for which he had been in the professional squad since 2015 and played 155 games – he switched to the second team of the Violette in 2013.
“He’s a young goalkeeper with great natural talents and plenty of room to improve,” said sporting director Pol Edouard Caillot. In Ligue 1, Pentz is currently the sixth Austrian overall – in Reims he meets compatriot Dario Maresic (22), who was loaned to LASK last season.
