Only eligible to play in 2023
After three years and the end of his contract at FC St. Pauli, Sebastian Ohlsson is returning to his old place of work. The 29-year-old signed a contract with IFK Göteborg on Thursday until the end of 2024. With the transfer window in Sweden closed since August 31, the right-back, who made 55 appearances (six goals) for his youth club between 2017 and 2019, will only be eligible to play in the new season from January.
“Until then, I will work hard in training and push my teammates so that we can finish the season in the best possible way,” said Ohlsson, who has played 57 times for St. Pauli. His last game was in February, since when Ohlsson has been out due to a knee injury.
