Five years after Ohms, the Defones publish their tenth studio album Privat Music.
The singles “My Mind is a Mountain” and “Milk of the Madonna” gave a first impression of the new album of the Defones, which is called private music. They combine Chino Moreno’s characteristic vocals with the typical powerful and atmospheric riffs that make up the sound of the Defones. Since Friday (August 22nd) you can hear the entire album of the alternative metal heroes.

Private music from Deftones: Listening parties before the release
In order to initiate the long-awaited publication of their new music, the Defones organized exclusive listing parties in almost complete darkness. Fans from Berlin, London, New York, Los Angeles or Paris were able to experience private music for the first time in an intensive, almost meditative setting. The concept aimed at putting the music in the foreground and switching off distractions completely.
Private music appears as a work that can be belonged to an inner journey like a soundtrack. The Deftones succeeds in capturing both the severity and the fragility of existence. With private music, the band proves why they are among the formative forces in the alternative metal and can continue to surprise their fans after over three decades.
