After Cup Aus: Aberdeen FC fires coach Glass – Just one win in 2022

Scottish Premier League club

Scottish Premier League side Aberdeen FC parted ways with coach Stephen Glass on Sunday. The 45-year-old has been relieved of his duties with immediate effect, as have Allan Russell and Henry Apaloo from his coaching staff. Glass had averaged 1.2 points per game in 40 competitive games since March 2021.

Aberdeen suffered a 2-1 away defeat at Motherwell FC in the Cup Round of 16 on Saturday. In 2022, the team led by market value leader Lewis Ferguson has only been able to win once. “The process of appointing a new manager will start immediately and another update regarding the interim coaching staff will be announced shortly,” the club said.
