At Gilze-Rijen Air Base they are ready for it again this Liberation Day: the traditional liberation flights. From ten o’clock on Tuesday morning, the four Ambassadors of Freedom – including DJ La Fuente from Eindhoven – will be taken by helicopter from the air base to the various Liberation Festivals.
On Monday, a suspicious situation at the air base seemed to throw a spanner in the works. The base was evacuated, causing preparations for the liberation flights to be halted for a long time. But on Monday evening, an Air Force spokesperson reported that the liberation flights could continue today as planned.
This means that one Cougar and two NH90 helicopters will make several flights from Gilze-Rijen until half past ten on Tuesday evening to deliver DJ La Fuente, Karsu, Rolf Sanchez and the Jostiband to the various festivals on time.
Where can you see La Fuente today?
DJ La Fuente is not coming to the festival in Den Bosch. But it can be seen in these places:
- 1:15 PM: Utrecht (Park Transwijk, Utrecht)
- 4:15 PM: Fryslân (City Center, Leeuwarden)
- 7:30 PM: Flevoland (City Center, Almere)
- 10:15 PM: South Holland (Het Park, Rotterdam)
