Old star Cesc Fabregas (35) continues his career in the Italian Serie B. The Spaniard signed a two-year contract with the second division club Como 1907 and then wants to start a coaching career in Italy.
Como’s sports director Dennis Wise, whom Fabregas knows from his time at Chelsea, was decisive for the transfer. The midfielder’s contract with former French champions AS Monaco expired at the end of June.
In his almost 20-year professional career, Fabregas was twice English (with Chelsea) and once Spanish champion (with FC Barcelona), reached the Champions League final (with Arsenal FC) and was with the Spanish national team in 2010 World champion and two-time European champion (2008 and 2012).
