After a blunder with AI quotes, Ghent University rector De Sutter addresses students: “I regret that I fell into the trap”

The Board of Directors of Ghent University will discuss the controversy surrounding the incorrect AI statements of its rector Petra De Sutter in her opening speech on Friday. VTM NIEUWS learned this from a good source. The statements are on the agenda at the meeting and will be the subject of vigorous discussion. It is not clear whether her position will be further jeopardized, although professors – with the exception of a few – are reacting mildly. In the meantime, De Sutter has also addressed her students.
