Munich’s Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting came on as a substitute for Cameroon in the 69th minute. Edmond Tapsoba from Leverkusen was absent from Burkina Faso after a positive corona test.
In the first game of Group A, Cape Verde defeated Ethiopia 1-0 (1-0) on Sunday evening. The Africa Cup runs until February 6th.
