French President Emmanuel Macron is going to offer Russian President Vladimir Putin his version of the de-escalation of the situation in Ukraine, writes agency AFP, citing a source in the Elysee Palace.

“The President will offer a path to de-escalation to his Russian colleague during a telephone conversation that will take place in the coming days,” the source claims.

The agency was also confirmed that a meeting of political advisers of the Normandy format is scheduled for January 26 in Paris.
