AFC has not been able to win a competition since October 1 and Benno Nihom’s team also failed to succeed against Katwijk. The home team turned out to be the happiest at the De Krom sports park in South Holland. Defender Ruben Doesburg’s 1-0 came just before half-time. AFC had a number of opportunities in the final phase to score a draw, but it was Katwijk who ended the match in injury time. Substitute Matthijs Hardijk set the final score at 2-0.

ADO ’20 visited Almere City under soaking wet conditions in the Flevopolder. Dylan George was the only goal scorer for the Heemskerkers. He equalized after 12 minutes, after Jong Almere City had already taken the lead four minutes earlier through Pim Lukassen. In the second half, goals from Eja Dakriet, Lukassen again and a penalty from Layee Kromah made for the 4-1 final score.

Stand

Due to AFC’s defeat, the team from Amsterdam drops to 12th place in the rankings. ADO ’20 is one spot lower than AFC. Both teams have 16 points from 13 games. Spakenburg is the leader of the second division with 30 points.

Royal HFC will not be in action this weekend. The club from Haarlem was supposed to play against Excelsior Maassluis, but because the opponent from South Holland had to play in the cup tournament last Thursday (1-0 win over FC Volendam), the game has been postponed. Could. HFC is the highest ranked North Holland club in the second division. Gertjan Tamerus’ team is fifth with 20 points, but has played two games fewer than leader Spakenburg.
