AEX rises to a new record due to plummeting oil prices after Trump’s statements about Iran

Oil prices fell sharply for the second day in a row on Wednesday. This causes the Amsterdam AEX index to rise to a new record. Prices fell after US President Donald Trump said “great progress” has been made in negotiations to end the war with Iran. However, on Wednesday the recommended retail price for petrol in the Netherlands rose to a new record.
