Always a bit more innovative, a touch smarter and a little more obsessed with detail – for the summer of 2024, all signs at ALBERTO are once again pointing to pants culture! To this end, we have not only expanded our range of fits to include a wide fit segment and are now presenting our chinos, jeans, shorts and modern business pants in linen, Tencel™ and various high-performance cotton blends. We have also treated them to new treatment techniques, fresh label and button colors and the matching belt collection. Here’s what to expect for the coming season.
wide fit
Not only are they pretty cool and extremely casual, they also promise unbeatably relaxed wearing comfort – for summer 2024 we have added the wide fit to our range of fits. For the premiere we are showing five styles here. ‘Jive’ is a modern, high-cut five-pocket shoe with a comfortable fit and narrow ankle width. The new ‘Glenn’, high-waisted pants in a cropped length with a cleverly set side seam, on the other hand, score points with their pleats. In terms of leg width, the new high-waist five-pocket jeans ‘Baggy’ go one step further. A real highlight: the ‘Clark’. Thanks to bordered straps and buttons in the knee area as well as elastic and adjusters at the hem, both the leg length and leg width can be individually adjusted. Patch flap pockets with eyelets and a pocket lining made of mesh make the pants a sporty all-rounder. The wide fit range is rounded off with the ‘Jack-K’, a wide-cut Bermuda with pleats and elastic band.
Natural denim
We commit ourselves and choose our natural denims as the must-haves of summer 2024. Why? Quite simply: Both in the rigid and in the stretch version, the undyed and only briefly washed jeans captivate with a naturalness and authentic strength of character that is second to none. The denims unfold their full potential particularly as a stylish ‘Jive-C’, a cropped jeans in cotton/stretch version. As an add-on, we recommend our undyed belt made of robust yet pleasantly soft Italian cowhide.
Laser washes Made in MG
Minimal water consumption, no environmentally harmful chemicals and extremely high energy efficiency – the use of modern laser technology in washing processes is not only good for people and nature, but also ensures a significantly longer service life for the fabrics. The fact that the gentle process also opens up completely new design possibilities is something we are showing for the 2024 summer season with a stretch denim in two different washes. The Mönchengladbach laundry, known for its particularly sustainable production standards, is responsible for the perfect implementation of the laser graphic in grid look designed by our 3D team on the jeans, with whom we have already successfully developed the Born & Finished Bike Pants.
Premium
Last winter we extensively expanded our premium segment, which used to consist exclusively of exclusive denims: with elaborately designed casual and dressy pants made of the highest quality fabrics. With resounding success! Reason enough to top it off again with a six-item program for the 2024 summer season.
Summertime, chino time – the run on the light cotton pants with the wonderfully casual wearing comfort is unbroken and with two new, house-dyed Made in Italy premium articles we are making a real statement here again. In addition to a decidedly classic cotton/elastane style that scores with a subtly shiny surface, we are showing trousers made of extra-light super stretch PPT with 60 percent elasticity, a robust 3D weave structure and a soft feel. Both pants are available as a slim fit ‘Rob’ and as a tapered fit ‘Steve’ and come in pastel and icy shades of orange, pink, gray and blue, as well as natural and silver.
The premium denims are also extremely colourful. A series of colored superstretch jeans, made up as ‘Robin’, ‘Superslim’ and ‘Slim’, consistently turns the color screw. The color range extends from Navy, Dust and Green Fig to Rose, Chalk and Glacial Blue. Made from lightweight 8 oz. Denim-made Light Tencel™ not only has a particularly light feel and authentic washes, but also ensures pleasantly cool wearing comfort even in summer temperatures. Once again a real highlight: our Red Selvedge Jeans made of fine high-end Japan denims. For next summer we are showing an 11 oz. Greencast style with a slight amount of stretch, which is available in three washes from light to raw as a slim fit ‘Slim’, tapered fit ‘Slipe’ and wide fit ‘Jive’.
The premium range is rounded off with a series of belts made in Italy made of soft suede available in ten colourways, which are based on the colors of our new trouser label.
linen and tencel
The hype surrounding pants made of linen and Tencel™ will continue unabated in the 2024 summer season. No wonder, after all, the robust natural fibers not only impress with their light and casual wearing comfort, but also with their pleasantly cooling properties.
In order to be able to present the subject of linen in all its facets, we have expanded our range to a total of ten fabrics. The spectrum ranges from pants made of pure linen and elastic linen blends to pants made of dyed PPT blends, which, made up as slacks, Bermuda shorts and draw string pieces, are available both in a decidedly clean style and in a subtle vintage look. Styles with elegant linen structures or striped patterns set special accents.
Last but not least, thanks to their wonderfully soft touch and feel, our Tencel™ trousers have quickly won over a loyal fan base. For the coming summer, we are focusing even more on the Tencel™/cotton blend. In addition to smart chinos and extra-light Tencel™ denims in a classic look, our brand new Cool Tencel™ is particularly popular. Refined, three-dimensional fancy fabric surfaces and an elaborate old-dye coloring ensure a casual look, the extra-high Tencel™ content ensures a super-soft and cooling feel. The newcomer is available as cropped chinos ‘Mike-C’, cargo pants ‘Storm’ and shorts style ‘Breeze-K’ in off-white, beige, military, grey, blue and navy.
performance
Not only do they look stunning – a multitude of intelligent functions and sophisticated technical features also help to master everyday life even smarter and more stylishly. Since their introduction a year and a half ago, the pants in our Performance series have become real highlights in the ALBERTO range. For the summer of 2024 we are presenting our slim fit classic ‘Rob’ with sand, pistachio, pineapple and smoke in four stylish colors. Brand new: the ‘Mover’ model, a normal waist slack made of highly elastic, water-repellent, breathable and quick-drying Revolutional® with slim-cut leg sections, drawstring and contrasting colored straps. The ‘Clark’ is also new to the range. Made from ultra-light, water-repellent, quick-drying, temperature-regulating and breathable Coolmax® Superlight high-tech fabric Made in Japan and equipped with patch flap pockets with mesh lining, the sporty wide fit offers the option of individually adjusting leg length and width thanks to buttons and bordered ties in the knee area as well as elastic bands and adjusters on the leg ends. The newcomer is available in the colors pink, khaki, royal, navy and black.
#coolgermany: Eickhof Palace
Once a rural estate, later the ancestral seat of an industrial family – Eickhof Palace, built in the 19th century and idyllically located in the Lower Saxony province between Hanover and Bremen, can look back on an eventful past. With the use as a Zen monastery with attached landscape gardening for Japanese horticulture, a wonderful calm has returned to the old walls. An atmosphere of stillness and peace that immediately captivated us and also provided an unbeatable backdrop for the ALBERTO Summer 2024 shoot.
